One of the first things you will need to do is to identify to any vendor who you are and what your goals are for your project. Sometimes this “Discovery” process will drag out the evaluation process. You can expedite this phase by completing a simple Company Information Form. It will not only help you finalize the description of your needs and your vision for a new software solution, but it will also serve as a way to quickly inform any potential vendor of your vision.

15 Questions to ask your software Vendor – $9.95

You can save yourself many hours of vendor selection time, if you send a list of qualifying questions to a potential vendor before you meet with them. However, they will not respond to your inquiry if you don’t give them some background information on your company and why you are evaluating software. I suggest you share our “Evaluation Plan” with them too. (See above documents)
