Job Time Entry

Job Time Entry is an enhancement to Dynamics NAV Jobs granule for real-time, time collection.  Although Job Manager is not a requirement, it is a recommended addition to provide the best solution for the Job Costing Industry.

Job Time Entry utilizes the web services feature of Dynamics NAV. We provide access to the core database without using an expensive full user.  There are two entry screens for collecting employee time information, Shop Time Entry and Service Time Entry.

Service Time Entry is similar to Shop Time.  You still enter the Employee ID, Job No, and Task No.  The main difference is instead of a clock type feature the employee enters their elapsed time on a Task.  An example of this would be a service technican who goes out on a service call.  At the end of the service call the employee records the time they spent at the client’s site.  Common applications for Service Time Entry are the Professional Services industries: Engineering Firms, Hospitality/Cleaning Services, Field Service/Repair, etc.
